Saudis Behead, Crucify Convicted Child Molester, Murderer

This doesn't surprise me. My sociology professor in college told the class that he witnessed a couple of public beheadings while in Saudi Arabia.

The crime was adultery.

Can't say that I feel sorry for a child-molesting double-murderer.

Nicely done.

I work as a Corrections Deputy (jail guard). Every day at work I deal directly with child molesters, sometimes killers. I know things that have blackened my soul. I have two young daughters. The fathers who rape their kids particularly bother me. I never go out of my way to learn the details of their crimes, it's bad enough as it is.

I do have a pretty good case of hate for the evil doers in our world though. As an example, I notice anytime I read a headline in the local paper where someone has died in a car wreck or other accident, I hope it's some pos I know. I think I suffer from what is known as "vicarious trauma". I just call it a black soul and case of hate. I'll tell you this though, when I'm with my kids, they are perhaps the safest kids in the world. I guess it's part of my way of coping.

I wonder how many death row inmates they have that have been waiting for years, only for the governor to give them a stay of execution?

How many people do they have running around, commiting any crimes they want, with absolutely no comprehension of punishment or being accountable for their actions?

And we get chastised for a little water boarding?

Beheading is what all the SOB's need being held prisoner in Guantanamo. Whether they were directly or indirectly involved in the cold blooded killing of over 3,000 Americans. How soon all the liberals that were flying all those little American flags forgot!!

I sure hope you don't make a mistake someday and put some of these molesters in cells with murdering thugs that hate child molesters. That would be a real shame.

It would also save us tax payers a bundle of money!

Seriously though I'm glad there's people around like you that will do that job. That must be one of the worse jobs there is being locked up in the same building with these animals 8 or 10 hours a day. That would be similar to being in prison yourself.

Anyway thanks for your service I appreciate it.

My next project with the company I work for is supposed to be in Palm Beach County, FL on a $240,000,000 prison system. Just some more of our tax money at work!!

The problem with these show executions is just that - they are show. The real perpetrator is irrelevant to the Saudi police - someone who is on the royal family or local satrap's s- I mean bad- list gets arrested and is tortured into confession and executed before they have a chance to recant. The actual perpetrator is not officially pursued that is left to the victim's family - again not necessarily directed at the actual perpetrator.

"It is horrific that beheading and crucifixions still happen," said Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui of Amnesty International in a statement Friday.

If Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui of Amnesty International has any children and this, "rape and murder", were to be their fate would he feel the same. Why does he not offer a substitute punishment that would satisfy him.

The world is a safer place without the dangerous criminals. Does it matter how a particular country prescribes the death penalty? Is that not similar to states rights? It only becomes our business when it is an American that is executed and the executor is a terrorist.

We who have a CCW believe we have the right to take a life when defending our own life or those that are threatened around us, yet I hear some of the CCW people asking for less than a death sentence when the legal system catches the criminal. I don't understand that double standard.

Yes, guilt or innocence doesn't seem to mean much to them. Now, if we could combine OUR justice system (as imperfect as it is) with their penal system I think we'd be on to something.

I'm told that in Saudi Arabia, the person gets down on his/her knees and places his head/neck on a block. The executioner then whacks his head off with a sword...no special machinery needed.

That's only the gov't sanctioned ones. The al qaida and taliban ones use dull machetes. Just ask Michael Berg. Oh, right, you can't.

Quite a few. They call them the royal family.

I remember a few years ago one member of the royal family killed another, both men I think. The crime occurred on the week end, trial was held Monday, verdict rendered same day, sentenced following day King approved sentence immediately, and execution (beheading) was on the following Friday. Crime to punishment 6 days I think.

I am sure there was not a whole lot of due process in this, but I certainly admired the brevity of the proceedings.

If you're going to have capital punishment, beheading is not a bad way to go about it. The end result must be a +10 on the humiliation scale. I mean, there you are, lying in your own mess and in two big chunks.

And if you are going to chop off someone's head, why not rent a venue and sell tickets?

Organ donor/sales would also seem to be a logical profit node.

I cant' believe that some here are showing sympathy to a worthless POS, just because the execution was administrated in Saudi Arabia. How would you feel when it's one of your kids that was harmed, and what kind of punishment you want for him.

I did a research about the capital punishment methods, and beheading even tough it looks horrible is the fastest and immediate execution method there is that still in use today, an old fashion way that really works, compared to the electrocution, hanging, firing squad, gas chamber or drugs.

Another fact, is that in Saudi crimes are very low because of the methods of punishment that are in practice there, and in part to the administration of them in public, a real deterrence to criminals.

My understanding is their executioners come from a family for whom it is their family profession, they take great pride in their skill and competence-they are supposed to do it in one stroke. Those who committ such offenses against children are "worthless pieces of slime" and should be dealt with accordingly.
I have always thought child molesters should be castrated-prevents recidivism and reminds them of the error of their ways.

An older gentleman I knew well retired from the U. S. Marshal's Service. I used to get him to tell me stories about what it was like. His main job was accompanying prisoners who were being moved from one place to the other. He said he had a stock question he asked them, "What did you think would happen when you got caught?" He said all of them answered, "Get caught$!?! That was the last thing that entered my mind! He spent some time with Caryl Chessman shortly before Chessman was executed in the California gas chamber. He said looking into Chessman's eyes was like looking death in the face. Must take a certain kind of person to fill a job like that.
