this is what I have.

LaRue Tactical with a Aimpoint Magnifier

it's expensive

it flips to the side when you don't want to use the magnifier

Used this originally on my Comp M2 Aimpoint, but I wanted to show reference that it will work on a Red Dot system and HALO

My buddy has this on his Colt .22LR

replica ACOG 4x32 with DOC red dot

it holds the zero pretty good.

about $120

I thinking about getting one for MP 15-22

I think I would rather use a lower powered (1 to 4 or 2 to 7) variable scope with an illuminated reticule rather than a combination of different scopes.
That way you don't have issues with how to hold it (ala 45 degree mounts or red dot on top of rings), changing zeros, or trajectory problems because the scope or red dot is so far off or above the barrel line.

Just recently did thid setup, gun is still new to me and cold weather has not allowed a lot of shooting yet. This I believe will work good for me, the reflex red dot for 10 yards or so and the scope for farther shots
