Scope or Red Dot?

The problem at my age, or I should say eye sight quality, is I can't do anything with irons past 25 yards, LOL. I pretty much need a scope I can adjust to my eye site or I'm shooting blind. :D

At 66 years old, I hear what you're saying. Keep in mind, when using the typical BUIS (iron sights), on an AR, the rear sight is a "peep sight", and you get close to it, and look through it, not at it. Your eye will instinctively center with it. So you can pretty much ignore it. So instead of lining up the rear sight, front sight, with the target. You just need to line up the front sight post with the target. Also, try it with both eyes open.

I use an Eotech w/ the 1 MOA dot. Really like it. But for the OP I'd go w/ the Sparc II which got a super writeup in Recoil mag 6-8 months ago. I also have a Primary Arms 3X multiplier which helps out the dot at longer distances.
