scored some ammo today

LGS just got a load of .223 remington UMC in today. 200 round cases for 84.99.

Bought a couple and 6 more for friends who were looking.

Beats the heck out of playing wallmarts 3 box game and cheaper to boot.

I went back this afternoon to the same Walmart I got the 420 rd can from this morning and was able to purchase 3 20 rd boxes of 5.56...I asked the guy(Different guy than this morning) what happened to all the 420 rd cans and he told me they haven't gotten any of those in in over 2 months. LOL

Go to my wallyworld 2 to3 times a week. Always check for ammo when I'm there. Shelves have been bare for months. You can get shotgun ammo but that's it.

Walmart had Federal 556 today, there were 6 boxes at random at 5pm, it was kind of surprising.

Ammo is the fastest thing to get sold out at walmart, why don't they just... buy a lot more?

Thats been the same sitrep at all the stores here including WM--till Monday-when I spotted two boxes of some caliber rifle ammo still on the shelves several hours after their morning rush happened. Today-I went back and spotted about 30 or more boxes of various types for sale--however--nothing for the guns I have. It does look to be getting better now and I have learned my lesson. When the rest come back in stock? I have an empty footlocker that will hold ammo nicely. ;-))
