Would this be the Target hammer and Target trigger? Might be hard to tell by these pictures?
Combat (medium width) hammer & service (narrow/grooved) trigger. Service hammers usually found on the fixed sight revolvers.

Great looking 19-3 sir. How does she shoot? I’m excited to get to the range soon myself.
For visual reference, these are "K" frame hammers.

Left to right: Service, Combat (or Semi-Target), and Target.
Overall height dimensions increase from "J", "K", "L", and "N", but thickness remains same.
Really though, since the 19-3 is a shooter without the box, the hunt for grips is strictly for your personal satisfaction. The cost of the grips will not increase the value that much, in my opinion. And, ejecting magnum casings is easier with the newer grips....my 19-3 grips have a small divet in the football cutout from magnum cases.

Does it also have a white outline rear sight blade? Also the front site is different on the 19-3 that is P&R than that on the 19-5
Does it also have a white outline rear sight blade?
Front sight looks correct for that revolver.
In blue, they were available (cataloged) three ways.
Standard was service trigger, semi-target hammer, Partridge front sight (like your -3) and plain blued rear sight.
It was also offered with the same sights but target trigger and hammer.
The final offering was like yours, all the bells and whistles, Baughman red ramp front sight, white outline rear sight, target trigger and hammer and it looks like yours still has the trigger stop which was still shipped installed on 19-5's with target triggers.
The 6" M19 was not offered with RR/WO but standard service trigger and semi-target hammer.
VERY nice revolver! My only six inch is a 19-6 like yours.
Ed, thank you for the info. So I need to find a set of target stocks with the football cut out for the 19-3 to have the correct shoes. Well another mission I look forward too. It would be nice to also locate the correct boxes, docs and tools. If anyone has one to post just to see what I’m searching for.
Thanks to all of the awesome info. Once again this forum is awesome!!
