SD Triggers and Mag Extensions Coming Soon From Apex

Scott, Thank you for the update and the opportunity to test your product. Been storing up ammo for testing out magazine extension and trigger! Good luck and shooting at your match

good luck on the match scott, by any chance you could share what equipment you will be using? alot of my friends are wandering into the playing fields and are looking for suggestions or advice from a experienced player

Got mine about an hour ago. I might just have to set up a tent out by the mailbox. I never get this excited for car parts.

What kind of car are you playing with?

This is Short Bus (my TrailBlazer EXT, named Short Bus because of the 3rd row seat)

My toy of choice is a simple little Honda Accord. Me and a fellow member of an accord forum have a friendly competition going on to see who can extract the most horsepower out of our little 2.2L single cam engine while maintaining a "stock" block. I was in the lead with 185whp (almost double the power over baseline) with just a slight P&P, cam, and aluminum flywheel. He just passed me up with essentially the same parts but he used a different block from a later model Accord. Its still a "stock" block from an accord... Just has a slightly higher displacement and higher compression piston.

Got my tracking#. Can't wait for the parts to get here. It's like Christmas and Easter on the same day. ;):D

Thanks Scott!!

Tracking # in my E-mail as well. I got the tools out on the worktable just waiting, barring any OT I should be able to begin my test next weekend. Too Excited...

Depending on the wife's work schedule... I should be able to be at the range within 20 minutes after install

Mines listed as out for delivery. My mailman has 3 routes to do and Im one of the last 10 stops. I should have it between 4:30-5pm

So.....You haven't gotten them yet?

I recieved mine in the mail today I am unable to do anything with it until after 10 Pm central Time as I am stuck at work until then. I plan on going home and getting right to work on it with un boxing pics and then installation. If I manage to avoid OT this weekend I will be starting my 2000 round test with the first 200 going down range.

Looking forward to it!

The match was going great until I discovered that I had a brain fart during my reloading about a year ago when I made the ammo. I missed Crono by 3 points so I got an automatic DNF. Oh well. I've been a competitive shooter for 8 years, it was bound to happen some time.

Oh by the way, feel free to post pics of your mag extensions when you get em.

Scott

I got it!!! Installing the base was super easy and I didn't have any problem getting 3 extra rounds in. Just to be sure I tried a 4th and of course it didn't fit.

I installed the trigger and it would (dry) fire most of the time, but required a little extra force at the end of the pull. Sometimes I needed to move the slide slightly or tap the side of the frame. After a little fitting with a file and it's functioning 100%. If you include the movement of the the trigger safety I don't know how much shorter the trigger pull is, but it feels shorter and generally better.

I already had the spring kit installed and I highly recommend it. The springs and a little polishing did wonders for the trigger, and the new trigger take it up a big step in feel.

Sorry about the picture quality

BTW I am glad the mailman also brought me a Glock loader. that make loading the mag much easier.

Let me just say this... After cycling nearly 75 rounds through with the magazine extension on and not having a single hiccup... Im very impressedwit the fit and quality. And these new triggers... HUGE improvement. I honestly didn't think this firearm could possibly get any better without polishing internals but the trigger made a world of difference. I got an appointment with the gunsmith tomorrow to get pull weights so ill report my findings then.
