SD Triggers and Mag Extensions Coming Soon From Apex

looks good but i would wetsand mine and respray black or silver, well if i had one...anyone else notice the combat pistol in Grand Theft Auto 5 looks like the pic above with a black mag plate?

I could not wait for the weekend to come so i took my SD9VE to work knowing i was going leave early and go to the range.

1. The Spring Kit just made the SD9VE into the Glock 19. I've shot the the Glock 19 a few times and recently shot it few weekends ago. Having the spring kit in the gun now is like night and day. The trigger pull got a constant 5.5#s.

2. The new trigger is awesome. Flat out no creep what so ever and it was smooth like butter.

3. The 3rd mag extender ran flawlessly with 100rd of Federal 129gr. The bullets ran through the magazine like hot butter. I mag dumped with no FTE and FTF.

Overall great products for the SD9VE and you guys just made an underrated $299 pistol into a Glock 19!

Thank You Scott for letting me test your products and i will be looking to do the same to my Shield.

Hey Guys,

Sorry I haven't been on here in a while, life has been busy around here.

We'r working on Mag extensions for the SD as well as a Polymer AEK Trigger for the SD to go along with our already available SD Carry Kit.

I'm going to be looking for a couple of people interested in testing (and keeping) the mag extensions and AEK Triggers.

Anybody interested?

i missed out :(

im kinda bummed :( ill prob still end up getting them. but would have been cool to test out the mag extensions. guess i get to spend $40 on a AEK trigger instead of target rounds :(

I thought this was a good place to ask this, I didnt want to start a new thread for just one question. I recently installed the apex spring kit and the trigger pin was a pain to get out. I had to tap it out with a hammer, did anyone else run into this problem?

The trigger pin CAN be a PITA the first few times. I thought of using a hammer but then realized that only a little spring is holding it in place and damage to that spring could be bad. You basically have to wiggle the slide lock up/down/left/right while applying pressure on the pin to get the spring to release from the seat it is in.

It took me a good 10 min or more the first time! You also can try from both directions for removal. I kept reading that you HAVE to remove it from a specific side but mine came out easier from the opposite side that was recommended. Patience is key. No need to get frustrated while having a gun in hand! ;)

Thanks. Ya I got the side right, from right to left. I ended up getting it out but when I put it back in it locked in tighter than it did before. I didnt know to wiggle the slide release. Ill try that next time when I upgrade to the AET trigger.

Apex has some good videos on youtube. I took my SD40VE apart MANY times (I did a bit of polishing) before I received my AET trigger just to get used to ALL of the internal parts. Have a look at my posts. My AET trigger fix post is used by Scott/Apex if anyone is having issues with their AET not engaging the firing mechanism.

Take a look at around 6:15. They do not have any issue BUT there are ones on YT that do!

Hey guys, Just an update.

We had to put the Meg Extensions on Phone Order Only due to the new laws in CA and other states. The site shows they're out of stock, but we have them on hand, so orders need to be called in. Sorry for the inconvenience.

They're in the hands of the anodizers now. We expect to see them within a couple of weeks.

Good to hear.

I have been really busy with the holidays and getting a transfer to a better position and having to train and other new job issues I have not had any time to hit the range.

I am gonna have to get a few black extensions ordered when I get more time.
