Sear spring in J frames

Gentlemen, thank you all. The problem turned out to be that the spring I got from Numrich was the wrong one, I got the correct one from Brownells, part num 215770000. It went in with no problems and the gun is now fixed. (I'll manage to screw it up again, though) Brownells also carries the (assembled) MIM hammer/sear aqssembly and that would have been my next step. In any case you guys set me on the right track. I.m very grateful.

Glad to here your problem is fixed!

With the MIM guns, the springs are just clipped or hooked into place. So be gentle working/cleaning the insides. Don't loose the hand spring, those are miserable to reassemble...:p

He's right about that..
Don't ever remove the hand from the trigger on a MIM unless your installing a new oversized one & then be "Carefull"..
I've only had that happen once & haven't bought a newer Smith since..
Glad you got it all fixed & back together dawg hair..
Welcome to the Forum!!
