Another of my favorite Seiko autowinders, an SKX007 with dial, hands and bezel changed as a homage to the Viet Nam era Benrus Type II military divers watch.

These days it lives on a Maratac Zulu black strap. You can see the orange Monster in the background on the watch bench.

Wow! Is the Orange Monster inspired by the orange-faced watch (Doxa?) used by the hero in a series about a diver-adventurer? I forget who writes those. I think the guy also uses a Colt .32 automatic, if that rings a bell.

How big is the Orange Monster, compared to a Rolex Submariner? Is it a quartz model?

Your modded "Benrus" is quite a watch.

The Orange Monster (SKX781) is an autowind dive watch. 42 mm if I remember correctly. Very bright dial lume.

I think it's about the same size as the Doxa that Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt character liked to wear. Here's a link to a comparison of the two.
