I've only shot, at the most, 3 50-round boxes of FMJ rounds and a few JHPs through my Security 9, I don't carry it, and don't need it. So, I decided to sell it to a work friend for $125. It's never had a "break-in" failure of any kind, but I kinda have to thin out the small flock to make room for one (GP100, 6", .327 Fed that I already bought) that the boss doesn't know about just yet. Anyhow, it was only about $325 new, so now it's used. Does that sound fair to me or should I have asked about $25 more? I'm only thinking about what I would pay for the pistol. Just asking. Thanks, Jeff T., PGH

I'd say $200-225 is a fair price. When I'm buying I typically look for at least $100 off the new price.

I'll add that if I found a Security 9 for $200, I'd buy it quickly.

You're a really good friend at that price.

I'd have sold it for at least $250. For a friend maybe $200

dr. m and RammerJammer, Yes, I'm basically giving it away. But, if I go to a LGS, IF they want to buy it, $150 is the best I could get. (One place passed on it, the other I tried offered $135.) They have to make a buck, I understand, but I'd rather a friend have it than them. He has a need for it and I, like I said, don't. It's in like new condition and the box & all the ads that come with it and the bicycle lock has never been touched or open. My Mrs. Taylor only sees one gun gone and another replacing it...for $600 over the 125! We'll not bother her with these petty details! ;)
You both are correct, though; he's stealing it from me! And, BTW, I would recommend this pistol to anyone looking for an inexpensive but reliable 9mm. Thanks, guys!
