I'm 65 and all I can say is, I never leave my house once anymore.
Also when I go into the kitchen I always have to make 2 trips.

roundgunner; This year I got my first Division Champion at the State IDPA with the 625. That gun and the 686 just get the snot shot out of them.
I shot my M&P at the Indoor Nationals last February. First time I have done a major with a flat gun in many years. Took 5th place Sharpshooter, not a bad showing for a old timer.
So, roundgunner, they frown on CCW at the NL sub base? Brings back memories! My first son was born on base there in 1970 while I was on the Fulton, AS11, over at State Pier. Cold winters...
I carry a 642 in a Mika pocket holster now about 98% of the time - easy/second nature grab. Don't blame you at all for stopping, despite the possible threat. I'd probably have done the same.
