Put apostrophes in words they mean to be plural? Look at the posts- "My pair of 28's" and "How many 29's..."

I think far more often the apostrophe is used than it is not.

Making the plural form of a word does not require the apostrophe. A pair of Model 28s and all the Model 29s in the world require no apostrophes.

I know... I need something important to worry about. But it's driving me crazy.

Probably the same folks that say something is a mute point or that they like it to.
Problem I have is that a lot of these same folks have already made their fortune and I will never be financially fit.

spell check highlights any work with an S on the end.

And lack of knowledge about plural and possessive

now where did I leave my participle dangling... :)

oh mute point, I thats where we would watch the submarine races...

Well thats moot now as I am to old :)

Because the little red line under the word or number goes away when I do. It makes me feel like I am back in school and being graded with a red pen.

I do it primarily because I'm ignorant. I also have no idea how the apostrophy should be used in your case or to show possession either ie; John's gun or Johns' gun? Here's another example just to be an idiot....1950's....'50s....I'd like to know. I've abused apostrophies or apostrophys all my life and most of my stupid friends haven't a clue either...I've asked. Won't somebody please help me? Zebul'on
