Back on July 24 Red Nichols alerted his followers, including me,
to a Seventrees holster up for auction. I was sure it was a
Scorpion.

Seller referred to it as a shoulder holster, which it obviously is
not. He also said it was made for a J Frame, but I doubted that.

A while back I bought a DeSantis IWB with pull thru snap, and
with the help of Red Nichols and Pig Hunter, I learned that with
the cylinder flute in the center it was probably made for a 6 shot
revolver, not a 5 shot J Frame.

So, I was thinking Colt's Detective Special, Cobra or Agent.
Red opined that it was made for a short barrel K Frame, but
no worries, because I have both. Miracle of miracles, I was right.

I watched until the day of the auction. Then, using my strategy
that I outline in RENOWNED GUN LEATHER, my bid was successful,
winning the auction.

Here, on the left is the original pull thru snap on Chic Gaylord's
Thunderbolt.
2nd from left is Seventrees close copy that he called Scorpion.
3rd from left is the front of my new Scorpion by Seventrees.
4th from left is the back of my new Scorpion by Seventrees.
5th from left is a photo of my Scorpion, on a gunbelt by Chic
Gaylord, shown with my Colt's Agent. A perfect fit.

I found that it was extremely difficult to pull my Colt's Agent through
the pull-thru snap, which could be problematic for a self defense revolver.
So, I sent an email to Ken Null and asked him if he could fix it. He replied
to send it with $15 for return postage and insurance. It didn't take long
to get it back, and now it pops open just like it's supposed to.

SAFireman - I will probably carry it at least occasionally. I usually carry
my J Frame, but the Agent is almost as small and light. I really like the
idea of the pull-thru snap.
