Shield 40S&W: what problems can I expect?

Did your new 40 S&W Shield come with dimples in the magazine catch areas? Even if it did, I suspect that S&W has redesigned the magazine release lever to better address the problem of mag drops.

Looked at the mag catch area, external and internal, and can not see a dimple. Shell casing fire date was around 1st of May.

Looked over the slide with a magifying glass, and there are NO tool marks! Nice machining S&W!

Do you have a picture of this "dimple" and where on the mag it is located?

Yes, in the picture linked to below, look at the magazine on the right. You will see a raised dimple just above the magazine catch hole.
