I tried both and preferred the xDS-9 because it felt good in my hand and was very accurate. So I bought the xDS-9. Nice pistol that is fun to shoot and is my EDC in a Simply Rugged Cuda holster.
Now the downside: the xDS-9 will not chamber Hornady Critical Defense ammo. Seems the split in the portion of the bullet that is plastic, teflon or whatever, gets snagged on the short feed ramp in the xDS-9. So I have to carry FMJ ammo.
But I still love that little pistol.
