Shield IWB favorite?

This is a Bearcreek I had made. Very good quality for a realistic price.
Be safe, Frank.

Fist thin Kydex inside the pants w/belt hook is what mine rides in.

Sold the PJ. Just didn't like the belt loop.

I ordered a micro carry from RDR Holsters.

I ordered it Friday but haven't heard a word and don't expect to as it was the day after Thanksgiving.

This will have to do until Raven releases (if ever) a VG2 for the Shield.

Who knows, I might not even get a VG2 if the RDR is good to go.

Picked up my .40 Shield this morning and decided to try the Foxx.
Just have to decide on the Hybrid or the Little FoxX ?

I think you may have misunderstood the question. It wasn't necessarily "pocket carry".

Because the Shield is so light and small, a very comfortable minimalist pocket holster works very well. Note that pocket holster does not mean pocket carry, and in fact most pocket holsters work better when used as IWB holsters. The great thing about a pocket holster is you get two holsters in one. Carry it normally IWB, then on the rare occasion when you need to, you toss it into your pocket.

Been thinking about getting another holster, and this was my idea. Looking at the DeSantis Pocket-Tuk for the reason that it is a tuckable holster that allows you to remove the clip and use it as a pocket holster.

Currently I use an Old Faithful holster and like it a lot. Affordable, tons of different ways to customize it, and very comfortable to carry.

Any chance that you could do a quick review or give us your first impressions of the RMR for the Shield?

Sure. In 4-6 weeks when I get the holster. That was from January 20th when I ordered.

PJ's for me. Fast "Grab and Go" Easy reholster. Super light weight.

N82 Tactical

My "Nate Squared" tactical is awesome! It is extremely comfortable, tuckable, and very well made. Not sure how you could go wrong with this excellent holster! Plus this is a small American company - not made in China.

Have worn the holster a dozen times.

At first I didn't like the fact that the plastic belt clip interfered with getting a grip on the Shield upon initial draw from AIWB.

I removed the plastic belt clip and installed the belt loop and strut from my RCS Vanguard 2 that I use daily for AIWB my Glock 19. I'd have to heat the shroud to get it to lie down but it might be worth it.

I reinstalled the plastic belt loop and was able to get it positioned out of the way and I can now draw without the belt clip in the way.

Overall, the carrying the Shield AIWB in the RDR holster makes it disappear.

The holster works and I will most likely order the Vanguard 2 strut kit and install it as I'm not so sure about the plastic belt clip.

DeSantis Nemisis as IWB

This is working great for IWB as well as in the pocket (front or back), and turns out it works so well that pocket carry of the Shield is now my preferred method. Holster stays put when you draw weapon, whether in pocket or even better when used as IWB. The DeSantis Nemisis for the Shield, versions with or without laser, sell new on ebay for about $20 shipped.

Right now for my Shield 40 I am using a small Galco. It is fairly comfortable, but has no back piece to cushion my hip from the gun.

I have this one on order from Winthrop Holsters:

As I ordered it in brown (vs. the standard black for the Shield), it had a 5-7 week delivery. It is due in any day now.
