Shield M2.0 is no longer in production but I am sure y'all already knew that. I found out while I was looking on the S&W web page.

So is that just the 9mm shield that's cancelled? At their site I couldn't find anything about it being cancelled.

It was the 9 M2.0.
It was the S&W web page that I found it. That is why I took a screen shot.

What has replaced it? The Shield Plus I’m guessing? They are pretty similar in size.
Well, why would anyone want a 2.0 instead of the Plus? 7/8 rounds vs 10/13? Come on man. Let's go Brandon!
I must say that I love the way my 2.0 shoots and I do shoot it well. The plus trigger is growing on me though. Waiting for the new holster.
My old 2.0 holster presses down on the Plus's mag release.

Oh Man the 2.0 Shield is now RARE! HaHa!

I always knew...
All of my holsters work 100% will both the 2.0 & Shield Plus PC
Just picked up a Blackhawk & Tulster today
Here's the Tulster & Crossbreed

Nice.
My Alien stuff still works for the Plus but I had to readjust the tension.
The WTP holster interfered with the mag release on the Plus.

FWIW, the CA, CO and MD compliant model is still available (all the same CA model). All others, both 9 and .40 appear to be no longer in production.

. I wonder if there will be a Plus 45 ACP?

I shot a match last weekend with my Shield Plus. I used a Hidden Hybrid holster that I bought when I got my Shield 1.0. I noticed when the gun is holstered and I would press the mag release to change mags, the button was tight. What is happening is when I press the mag release with my right thumb, the part on the other side of the gun that comes out is slightly blocked by the kydex of the holster. I’m gonna have to use a Dremel to shave a hair of the Kydex off to deal with it. Gun locks in nice and tight but there is enough of a difference between the original Shield and the Plus to make it an issue.

They only stopped making the 1.0's 2-3 years ago, I think. If the insanity of the last few years hadn't happened we would be seeing NOS 2.0's for $249 like we did with the 1.0's.

I'm already seeing the price of the Plus dropping to $350. Guess I decided to get one too soon. But, I did get one early this month so I'm good.
Here in Georgia, we have a web site called the Georgia Out Doors Trader and they sell all kinds of stuff including guns. I am seeing adds for 1st gen Shields asking for crazy money, $350-$500, but I don't see anyone buying them until the price is reduced to a reasonable amount. The suborn ones that refuse to adjust the price keep recycling their old add for a gun that never sells.
Heck, I got my 9M2.0 for $330 in 2018 and that was a good deal back then. The 2.0 is a great little gun, I really like the trigger, and I still like to carry it.
The plus trigger is good too but I need more shots down range to get used to it.

I sold my 4" Performance Center 2.0 Shield once I got my two Shield Pluses. I knew I would never carry it after getting the Plus. So, I sold it.

I'll still holster my 2.0 Shield 8 rounder, carry an extra mag; trigger broken in, no after market upgrades and its clusters defensive ammo. If can't get the job done in 8. have the other 8 mag, but that just me.

Oh yeah, it is still a great little pistol.
