Shield Pachmayr Grip Gloves

How long is it taking people to get their grip gloves from Lyman? i ordered mine on Apr. 12 and haven't heard anything from them about it being shipped.

They do seem a little slow. I remember a disclaimer on their site...about being behind on orders. I don't remember how long the delay was, though. I had a product arrival notification from Midway, saying that they had them in stock. So I decided to call Lyman & if it hadn't shipped yet, to cancel the order & just get it from Midway. Ironically, before I could cancel I received an email from Lyman stating that the order had shipped. I tried with no luck to get a shipping number from them. It got here, & that's all that really matters.

I put these on my M&P 22 and the M&P FS 9 and they move arround a lot when the gun heats up. Took em off and put em in a drawer. They do feel great though.

From just looking at this product, I would tend to agree with your assessment but I will freely admit I have no experience with this product.

What am I not "getting" here?

I have the Crimson Trace Laserguard on my Shield, and the activation button is located on the front of the grip about a half inch below the trigger guard. It looks like this Pachmayr Grip Glove will cover the activation button. I'm still going to order one and see if I can cut out an opening for the activation button. The remaining question will be if the button will be indented so much that it's not activated when the gun is gripped. I do have Talon grips on my Shield, but the Grip Glove seems like a nice addition if it will work with the Laserguard.

I preordered before they were even released yet and then they kept moving the release date by several weeks. I got a little worried and emailed and called Lyman with no answer on either and after 8 weeks I finally got mine. No tracking number or even notification of shippment either. Other than the poor communications I am very happy with the product on my shield.

T have tried Hogue sleeves and Talon. The Talon's offer me the best of the two and they have remained on my gun for the last 8 months.

I added the rubber Talon grips to my shield as well, they work very well and dont add to the width of the shield. Those Pac's look like they are very wide to me.

Does it move around enough on the the 22 to make it useless? Surprising because the other P's fit so well on others.

Received Pachmayar grip glove for my Shield about 3 weeks ago. It does not stay in place, rotates and slips down. Communications with Lyman very difficult. Mine are in the mail being returned today. Very disappointed with the product. no issues with Hogue Jr.

As stated before they feel great till I've shot several mags and then it's slipped down and has to be moved back in position. The grips on my 9 and 22 are great without these.

Just got mine and put it on my BG. Feels great. Took them a little longer to get it to me, but worth the wait, does help my grip with this small of a gun.

If that's the case then this really wasn't designed for this particular gun. All of the ones I have seen felt solid as a rock and required almost two hands to even get in position. I guess I'll skip it for the 22, bummer.

Regular or Jr.? The Jr. is the correct size.

I found the Shield grip to be too small for my hand, so I ordered a set each of the Talons. Initially installed the sandpaper type and it made a world of difference in grip-ability and improved the "low-left syndrome. Still feeling a little small though, so I took "Side Winders" advice and placed the Pachmayar glove over the Talon and walah, even better groupings. No technical data, but it feels like it comes back on target better. Maybe the rubber is actually helping w/ recoil and not just the gripping feature. Oh well, take for what its worth.

I've got the Hogue Jr. on mine & like the finger groove. I like the looks of the Pachmayr's though, maybe a mix of the two, humm...

I went to a Hogue grip and attached a Magloc magwell, works and looks great.

Just ordered the Pachmayr to try out. I'll tape or glue them to the frame if they move. Some added beef in the palm area would be a good thing for me.

I'll see how they work in a week or two. :)

Had pachmayar grip glove on my shield but it kept moving and sliding around then it started to fall apart. Got rid of the pachmayar grip sleeve and went with Talons but they did not hold up. Have been shooting the gun quite a bit and the Talons just could not take it. Finally switched to Hogue handall Jr. grip sleeve and it seems to be working out just fine. They were very tight but got them on after heating up with hair dryer.
