Shield Performance Center

OK, so I researched these HIVIZ Litewave sites and they are a number of poor reviews posted on Amazon. Mostly saying they don't let in nearly enough light, front site doesn't fit, and are made from low quality "soft' metal. HIVIZ customer service appears to be lacking as well. I'm surprised to read this since S&M elected them to put sites on the PC Shield. I was only interested in them because I assumed they must have been better quality then competitor sites if S&W is using them on stock pistols. I guess I'll keep looking.

750 rounds through mine... no issues with the sights... good with any kind of light... not so when it is dark... but I could not find one with the Trijicon night sights so the HI-VIZ Fiber Optic Sights will have to do. They are covered by the S&W warranty if anything goes wrong with them so I am not worried...

Front site and GSR?

Guys,

I'm no expert here, but I saw some pics posted in another thread of the 9 PC after firing and it looks like the front site (even a Tru Glo) would get all covered in GSR?

Am I missing something.? Any 9 PC owners care to comment?

I know one guy on these threads reported no issues with what I described using WWB ammo, which is typically what I use.

thanks

Brian

I'll have to investigate myself in a day or two. I bought one................

I have taken my PC9 several times to the range (indoor) with each visit 100+ rounds of a mixture of UMC and Blazer Brass 115fmj with some Hornady Critical Defense 115 as well.
Does she get dirty? Yep. But i can still see the front site at the end of the range visit so not a bother for what i need or do. And easy to wipe it off if needed.
Not sure when but next time i hit the range i'll try to take before/after pix of site for some comparisons.
And after 600+ rnds no issues with Hivis sights or the gun overall

I installed the True Glow TFO with the Yellow/Green combination on my PC Shield and put the FO sights from the Shield on my M & P 22. Works great on both.

Thanks for the info, I have the same and might look in to that now. I specifically wanted the PC for the sights and trigger and I am not to concerned with the porting one way or the other. The price difference is small and even smaller at the $75 off sale I just bought mine in. Before buying, the alarmist stuff you hear about porting is ridiculous. You can't shoot it indoors without a fire hazard? I'm going to do a cardboard arch test at the range.
