Shield plus 13rd (11)magazine

Has anyone else bought one of the 13rd mags that have just been released 9/6/21 this week?? I purchased 5 mags from different stores and found one thing they all had in common, you can only force 11 rounds in them, not 13 like the original!! I emailed S&W and all they said was send them back and get your money back! That's not what I want!! I want what I paid dearly for!!! Anyone else experiencing this??

The two I received yesterday load all 13 no problem (using a Maglula). And the mags seat much easier than the one that came with the firearm. I really have to squeeze the mag and the gun hard together with both hands to get it to seat. The original 10-round mag seats with no issues.

I to used a mag loader but to get that 11th round in I have to load it without the mag loader!! Not enough room to get the round in using a UpLULA!!! I don't understand why non of the mags I purchased won't hold the 13!!

Shield Plus 13 Round Magazine

I just purchased 4 brand new 13 round mags for the Shield Plus Performance Center 9mm. HOWEVER, none of them will hold 13 rounds!!!!!! They only take 11 rounds, and the 11th round is a bear to get in there! Did Smith now put the right springs in these magazines???? The original 13 rounder that came with the gun, takes all 13 with no problem!! Smith screwed up on these new mags and should take them back and replace them!!

Just got my Shield Plus. The 13 round magazine is pretty hard to load after 10 rounds where getting the last 3 into it requires a speed loader to give you something to push on to squeeze them in to the thing. I 3d printed this one, but you can find them for sale on Amazon and other places.

I'm not shy about taking things apart and fiddling with them, so in that spirit, I'd do so to one of those mags and see what's going on in there. Maybe the legs on the bottom of the follower can be shortened a bit. Or maybe a lot. If it doesn't work, only out one follower. Don't know for sure without getting in there.
