Windows 11

About six months I bought a brand new computer loaded with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365. Recently the computer seemed to be running slow and I began pushing buttons to try to clean up the stuff on the computer. And as a card carrying Luddite, somehow I must have pushed the wrong buttons. Now when the computer rests, the screen goes black and then starts a slide show with the pictures I have on the computer. I didn't want to do that and I have no idea how to fix the problem. Can anybody help me?
I can only go by old windows, so I'm just guessing here.

If the screen goes black you don't have your screen saver turned on. Turn it back on and then select the type you want.

The desktop pictures can be selected. Find desktop and pick the pictures you want to display.

I used to do this under System. Not sure where it is now. When I changed to Win 11 all my old settings resumed.

Press the CONTROL-ALT-DEL keys all at the same time. That should bring up a list of selections you can make. Last on the list select TASK MANAGER by mouse clicking on it. APPS is the first category in the upper left screen presentation of TASK MANAGER. if screen saver appears on the list, highlight it by clicking on it. In the lower right corner of the screen is a box that reads END TASK. That should get rid of the SCREEN SAVER. CLOSE TASK MANAGER if it's still o n the screen.
If this works we'll come back and turn off SCREEN SAVER.
