Shield Plus has issues, huh?

Just bought one the other day. I live near a Smith outlet LEO dealer that will sell to civilians. Got the LEO version with three mags and night sights for $495. Sweet. I also bought an additional two 13 rounders to boot.

These two have followers that are noticeably higher than the three that came with the gun, and they will not eject, gotta be pulled out. The 3 mags that came with the gun seem ok.When loaded, the two additional mags will not completely go into the gun.

Contacted Smith, will see what they do.

Really looking forward to shooting this gun. Seems like a honey.

Having 2XL sized paws…and always liking a bigger grip, from 2011 to striker fired, I never thought I’d like a Micro.
I’ve flipped… I’m really enjoying my Shield Plus Comp, had a few weeks now and I’m at 600 to 700 rounds.
The factory 10 rounder for me is kinda worthless. The 13 is perfect for me.. I have the 10, 4 13 rounders and 2 15s. Zero issues.
Good luck, it’s a shooter indeed.

Sounds familiar. I had the same problem with the 13 round factory magazines that came with the Shield Plus I bought in late 2022. Would have thought S&W would have fixed this by now, maybe the 2 extra magazines you bought had been sitting around for a couple of years.

S&W sent me a shipping label to return the magazines and sent me replacements once they received them.

This makes sense, NOS magazines. And I cannot find non-factory ones for sale.
