Shield Rebate Rip Off

Kinda missed the point. Sending in the info that didn't list a serial number worked. Sending in the info that DID list the serial number was rejected. Did I mention that PSA's info was confusing. They will not send you a receipt that appears to have all the proper info included,.....they will claim that a screenshot from your order page will suffice but that doesn't seem reasonable since it does not list a serial number.

I feel the pain. I got ripped off for a total of $200 from Remington on their Golden Saber rebate a few years ago. $10 a box, max of $10 boxes so $100. I got 3 other people to buy and send in rebates (I gave them money) so all different names, addresses and purchases. Two were accepted and two denied for the same thing, invalid receipts. I called and got the same answer but the lady couldn't access the info I sent in to tell me what was wrong. So, I really overpaid for Golden Saber and lost out on $200. I'm holding a grudge against Remington now.

So your PO'd at Remington because you tried to scam them. I'll bet you were laughing when all your family members went and bought the ammo.
Next time, don't send in the rebate forms all from the same address. Tell me why I should feel sorry for you?

So you tried to screw Remington by doing straw purchases of ammo and only got one rebate to which you were not entitled instead of three and it's Remington's fault???

Full zip code wow I saw nothing stating that
I assume mine will be denied then
Since I didn't enter last 4 didits of my zip only first 5

How is buying their product that's offering a rebate a scam?? Before you jump to conclusions, read the post again. All different people, all different addresses, and all were adults. I recommended Golden Saber to them because I've had good luck with it over the years.

With the rebate factored in, it was cheaper than plinking ammo and they get quality ammo for self defense. The fact that I paid for it for them was just my gift to them. I didn't keep it, it's their ammo, they bought/ordered it. I just gave them the money because they didn't have the funds.

Not asking for anyone to feel sorry, just warning people about the rebates. Many programs are ran by third parties.

How's that a straw purchase?? They bought it for themselves, their usage. They didn't buy it for me. They didn't have the funds so I gave them money. It cost more than it should have so yes, I got ripped off.

You admitted you gave them money to buy ammo I'll bet none of them had the weapon it went in. You said YOUR out $200.00. Get your story straight and come back. You tried to pull a fast one. I'm glad you got burned. By the way, I'm looking to buy some Hornady .38 Spl ammo. Could you send me the money.

No, some guys are unable to access their info on the Milano website unless they use the zip+4 number. I've never had to do that myself. You were not required to submit with your zip+4 number.

I got ripped off too...I bought my Shield 45 when they first came out, before any rebates were announced. Now I am disgruntled.

(Just being ironical...or somethin'. ;) )

I got a letter regarding my rebate today...
MPC Inc said they were denying my rebate due to "Invalid Receipt", when I had included my receipt from PSA that had all the required information. (heck, it even had my Visa last 4# !)

Good job Smith and Wesson, you scammed me out of $75.
Enjoy it. Guess what brand I won't be buying in the future?
hint: [American Outdoor Brands Corp.]

Instead of attempt to work with them to solve the issue, you immediately jump on here, of all places, to accuse S&W of a rip-off and a scam, and make a promise of no business in the future?

You must be a real joy to have around.

S&W is a reputable company, and if you comply with the rules, you will receive the rebate.

I am giving the benefit of the doubt to S&W and am guessing there was a problem with your documents.

Work WITH S&W, not AGAINST them on social media.

So what you want me to believe is that you fronted the cost of 30 boxes of ammo for three different friends and all you wanted them to do was give you their rebatecheck? I gotta tell ya I have heard better stories from my clients. The one that comes to mind was when they found dope in my client's pants pocket and his defense was "Those ain't my pants". Mighta worked if he wasn't wearing them at the time. ;)
I "think" that you bought 10 boxes of ammo four times and then used three friends names and addresses to try to score 4 different rebate checks. Hell nothing wrong with that pardner, I've done it myself many times-but don't sit there and insult my intelligence with THAT story. :D

Oh and assuming that your story is true and your friends did indeed keep the ammo than you are correct it wasn't a straw purchase. But I sure wouldn't want to bet my freedom on that story if it was going in front of a jury unless your friends were there to testify under oath in support, and then maybe not even then!:D

Common Sense should tell anybody that if you don't sent receipt with Serial then "How in the He-l" are they to know what gun you bought, one could send in a sale receipt 10X without a Serial and get 10 rebates  ! NOT!

My "rebate" with the mags, ammo and mag loader went just fine, My receipt had the date, store it was purchased from, make and model but no serial number on it. Took a month from when i filled it out online to when i received it.

This is quoted from their own online rebate form.
"Upload a copy of your sales receipt (dated, store-identified sales receipt that clearly shows the item purchased.) *"
It says nothing about it requiring a serial number on it.

They never did put the rebate on the site to check the status though so i didn't know it went through till i received a email from fedex saying i had a package coming with a tracking number in it and it was coming from
"SAW
Paducah, KY 42003
US"

Most have been a Fluke, since on both of my Rebate forms there was a space and it asked for the Serial No. which i filled in.

Hopefully mine will mail soon since my last rebate showed up with my 1st on Milano as of 3 days ago.

I hope they combine both my orders and wonder if signature is required? Since am not home a lot of times!

Oh it asks for the serial number elsewhere on the form but it dose not ask or require it to be on the copy of the receipt, that's all i was trying to clear up.

Mine didn't require a signature, they just left the package at the door.

I got my rebate two days ago. Purchased a .45 from Palmetto State Armory (over the counter, not ordered online) and submitted rebate on June 27th. My name NEVER appeared on Milano's site even as late as last week. Never got any notification that they had accepted or were processing my rebate.

A friend bought 3 Shields and submitted rebates online. Checking Milano website and it only showed one, but all 3 arrived in the mail a few days apart.
