I had a customer come in with a shield to have me change sights for him....I tried both my universal sight pusher and a brass drift...The sights won't move...Is there something short of a torch or hacksaw that will move them???
Thanks,
JIM...........

The Shield sights have been reported as being very tight. Be sure to drift it toward the ejection port side and just hit it a little harder. I hate to say that, but some times that's what has to be done.

Do you have one of these:

I just removed my rear site and had a tough time too. I ended up grinding off the tip of one of my wood chisels so it had a flat edge. I put the slide in a vise and kept on hitting it with the chisel until it started to move. Before i started I put the slide in the freezer for an hour; not sure if that did anything.

Just did mine today to install Apex kit.
*** was on tight.
There are apparently ribs on the sights that make it very tight.
I had to reform a large brass punch and pound the hell out of it "carefully"
I also soaked it with a bit of Kroll and also heated it some too.
