For any of you that read my first thread over the weekend you saw that I picked up my first late model smith and Wesson revolver. I picked up a 22/32 that had sat it someone's dresser for the past 30 years and was never removed from it's box. Well I figured it was time to give the gun a good cleaning and take it out for some time at the range. I put about 100 rounds through it and it shot amazing all the way out to 20 meters. I was constantly hitting the 1 inch bullseye at any range. I was very impressed with the trigger on it. The double action was very smooth and crisp and the single action was all most dangerous because it was so light. I am a die hard Sig Sauer shooter and I have to say its trigger rivals any Sig I have ever owned or shot.

I was so happy with how it shot I figured I would introduce it some of its brothers and I figured I could upload some of those pictures.

The first is with some of my Sigs

Welcome aboard! A fine-looking 22/32. Many of us would like to find a good shooter like that. Your report of accuracy shows it likes its new owner. What ammo does it prefer [no doubt std velocity]?

Best of luck as you fill in other S&W 'needs' over time.

Regards,

Dyson

Thanks guys! It likes cci standard velocity. I am very impressed with the gun but i would think my 226 would take some offence to hear that the 22/32 is the best of the best of the bunch... :-P but all joking aside it is one hell of a gun and has impressed me very much.

I found a 22/32 at the last S&W show in Boise. It was refinished in it's lifetime, and I purchased it to use as a NRA trainer for women with small hands or children. It is a fantastic shooter and I paid very little for the gun.

Terry, even with the Jay Scott faux-Ivory grips, it looks pretty classy. If you could find a set of the round-square butt target grips similar to what it originally had, you might find that even folk with small hands could hold onto it better, though. Love the bead type front sight... I'd like one of those on each of my own I-frame targets! Congrats on a great find. :D

AAHHHH; That 22-32 S&W is one of my favorite handguns. I've had 6 or 7 over the years & all shot very well. Yours is a real beauty, much nicer than one I still own. But it's my meat getter on the trail. Rabbits, squirrels & grouse still taste good in a hunting camp. Also finished of a buck or two with head shots. Great pistol that S&W made, for sure.
