Should I record Blazing Saddles for my kid to watch?

I miss Harvey Korman........

How will your son ever hope to grow up to be a true red-blooded American male if you don't? At the very least, his fart-joke appreciation quotient (FJAQ) will be seriously undervalued if you don't! I mean, he might not even get into college with that, unless his SAT's are out the roof. Do you really want this on your conscience?

As others have said, you shouldn't record it, you should buy the DVD or Blu Ray. One of the funniest, and most quoted, movies in the history of American cinema.

My daughter is 29 and loves Mel Brooks movies. She loves Young Frankenstein so much she named her cat "Froderick".

It's too bad that comedy movies have sunk so low, what passes for comedy these days is trash.

It is imperative you do not record it and show it to your son!

Blazing Saddles is only meant to be viewed in it's total unedited splendor.:D

Find the DVD or tape.

Also do not forget the great classics such as: Stripes, Caddy Shack, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, etc...

You get my drift.;)

Just like Smokey and the Bandit. In its raw and original form.

Absolutely show it to them.
As I posted a month or so ago, I said "Candygram for Mongo" to my 20 year old son and he had no idea what I was talking about.

We gotta raise 'em right.

Also Airplane and Smokey and the Bandit.
For non comedy classics, Casablanca and the Maltese Falcon.

Then there's the one from my teenage years: All of the Friday the 13th and Halloween movies.
Loved those cheesy slasher flicks.:D

Another vote for "buy the unedited version". While you're there pick up Spaceballs and Python's Meaning of Life, Holy Grail, Life of Brian.

I was about to add a big resounding yes but then i saw t was an edited version...so i say no...don't ruin a good thing with and edited for tv version...he most likely will not enjoy it as much...and neither will you

OK, since there are Blazing Saddles fans here I'll ask the question. When OJ Simpson was driving the LA freeway in a white Bronco and a gun threatening to shoot himself, how many thought of Blazing Saddles? Life imitating art at it's finest.
