Should we all really be allowed to posess firearms?

...A man has a nice Smith for sale on Gunbroker of all places. Nice LOOKING gun, really decent price and one of my favorite models, but he has it listed as "As Is No Returns". Sorry, cant do that again, not with all of the backstabbing and lying people are so fond of these days, coupled with what seems to be some slick photography skills, or photoshop or whatever....

If I see an ad that says "the photos tell the story" or something like that, I scroll right past it, for what it really means is "there's something wrong with this gun but I won't tell you what it is." Ditto for any ad that doesn't allow for a non-firing inspection period with a refund if the buyer isn't satisfied.

There are a lot of dishonest people out there. I've had an itch for a while for a couple of guns, a Model 41 and a Wiley Clapp Ruger GP-100. In checking the various internet pages, I found a GP-100 on Guns International recently sold in Tennessee. On GunBroker, the very same revolver was being advertised -- photos and all -- by a seller in New Jersey, who would take only a Postal Money Order or Paypal for payment. When I contacted the "seller" on GB, and asked about the GI listing, the auction was ended.

There's a special place in hell for fraudsters and thieves... :(
