Mike asked me to post this:

He is going to be off-line for a while as his old steam powered computer is belly up. He has to accrue the funds for another one so it might take a minute.

He said he is rejoining the analog world and will break out some of his old scrolls and read them. (Papyrus is amazingly durable)

His main thought is that we wouldn't think the worst if we noticed his absence.

I'll keep in touch with him.

Update: WOW!

A member has just ordered a new device to be delivered to Mike on Sunday. I am absolutely in awe of this guy and proud to call him friend. I looked up "feel good situation" and this is it.

I'll let Mike divulge his identity.

I have never used a traditional computer to access this forum. I only use an iPad and iPhone. I use my desktop maybe once or twice a month for few minutes.

I could do the same thing with Android tablets, but I am Mac guy. anyone can be online with a tablet for $30o and less when the tools are o sale.

I do not even know Mike because I am a relative newcomer to this forum. But like many of us I have been on the other side of financially OK. I just wrote a check to him that will get mailed tomorrow morning. PM Rusty to get his address and send Mike a few bucks.

I did it because I subscribe to ‘Pay It Forward.’ People helped me out during bad times in my life. I want to pay my rent on earth by doing the same. So kick in. Every dollar counts. If you do then maybe if you ever need someone will pay it forward for you.
