We don't get a lot of snow normally here on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, but we had a blizzard yesterday, and I awoke to drifts of waist deep snow in my driveway. I don't even own a snow shovel, so had to shovel it with a normal square shovel. Took me three hours:

I have some serious cabin fever! Hopefully I can get to the range tomorrow and do a little shooting.

Wierd, pictures got lost there for a while, curse of the red "X"...

I did little else today after shoveling that driveway, can't wait for Spring.

Even the dog has cabin fever, she hasn't been able to go for her daily walk for at least a week.

OMG! But good job canoeguy. I hope you're not over 40? I recall hearing somewhere that men over 40 shouldn't be shoveling snow. The wife is supposed to take over that duty then. :D

Living in the snow-belt gives you a lot of insight about how close fences should be to driveways, why and how to place snow fences, etc.

All fading memories now.

Ya might be thankful you didn't have a snow shovel. In deep, heavy or wet snow or slush, slow and steady is much easier on ya.

Good job! Y'all be careful with that shoveling. Here's one of a few pics that I received from a friend in Maryland. She said it's the worse they've ever seen.

Good job, Canoeguy!!!! Everyone needs to do this a few times, every season, just to keep the old back in shape. NO, just kidding. When we lived further north, we had a snow blower. Gave it to the kids when we left. Now, wish I had it back.

Tips on snow removal:
I usually wait until late May or early June to do my shoveling. It's so much easier then.
