Don't think I've shown this one yet. It's been hit by something; almost looks like it might have been a 45. The long magazine is a 50 round magazine for the Lanchester. the gadget is a magazine loader. And, yes, it's registered.

Been a while since I checked in on this thread. I went through a purge. Too much of a good thing. Most of them weren't shot often. It became about having not enjoying. From my last post I still have the Glock 19 Gen4 and the Sig P938. I have three 9mm additions:

Glock 43. I'm evaluating it against my Sig P938 for warm weather or deep concealment carry. When I finally decide which one works best, the other will go. It's been tough. The P938 provides a much more enjoyable shooting experience than the Glock 43. The Glock 43 carries easier than the P938, and I've been reaching for it over the P938. I shoot both equally well, so it's going to be a tough call.

Springfield Range Officer 1911 9mm. I pared down my collection to just practical guns that served a purpose. I went a little too far. I wanted just one 9mm for pure range enjoyment. When I shoot this, the urge to buy this-that-or-the-other disappears.

S&W SD9VE. I've owned a few budget friendly pistols. I'm drawn to them. I want to see how far I can go on the least amount of money, and still have a quality firearm that I enjoy to shoot. After Sale, promo, discount, and rewards points this was $211 OTD. I couldn't resist. I liked shooting it stock, but I got the urge to tinker. Apex trigger shoe and spring kit made this pistol easier to shoot well. If the SD9VE's striker was partially pre-cocked, it might as well be a Glock 19 with an American grip angle. This pistol is now a permanent fixture in my get-home-bag. The SD9VE represents one heck of a good value: stainless slide, stainless barrel, front cocking serrations, slide release that is just right.

Drm50, your target Hi power is the GP Competition model. Along with the longer 5.9" barrel and barrel weight, it has a different trigger, hammer and magazine safety. The GP magazine safety does not affect trigger pull as it does in the standard Hi Powers. There is also a special barrel bushing with a spring that keeps pressure on the barrel to make sure the barrel stays in the same position shot-to-shot. I've owned 3 over the last 20 years or so. Still have one, shown at the top of my photo. I'm going to hang on to this one...
