Show us your dog!

These are awesome! I can't believe how many rescues have popped up. You are brave souls! Teddy, the dog in my first post was a replacement for our Mini-Aussie Link who died in March. He was sick after a camping trip, so we thought maybe he had caught a bug and it would pass. But when midweek rolled around and he was still sick we took him in. Link's liver had shut down they told us, autoimmune reaction. We never saw it coming and it was hard on us, we didn't last long till we piked up Teddy in may. But here is Link in a few of my favorite photos.

This is our 10 year-old black lab Sophie, soaking up some sun on the driveway and keeping an eye on the backyard. Shes queen of the house and lets everyone know it.

Second picture isnt so great, but if you look closely at the tree in the middle you can see a deer at the bottom right of it. Sophie spotted it walking at the edge of the forest in the back so she sat on nightwatch duty for a while.

Its crazy, seems like just yesterday she was a wild little pup and now shes a calm old fireplace dog. (The pup in her still comes out everyonce in a while though :) )

A very stoic Finn Dooly, my alapaha bulldog pup, willing me to take him for a ride in the jeep-

Angus and Finn sacked out on the couch the other night. They were so beat you'd think they'd worked all day!

This was Our Danny Boy. He was a sweet dog even if he was a real Knot-head. I was working a lot of nights back when we had him and he was great company for Miss Pam. He was a great watchdog. We have an entry hall just inside the front door and when he barked in there it sounded like a really big dog.

He had a thang for yogurt too. :D

Just as I stated in the cat thread about our late Frito, Danny Boy will always be a part of our family.

He just looks like an "Angus" don't he :D
Yep, and he's got a ton of old dog attitude with that look. At his age everything you tell him is a suggestion, not a command, and he takes his sweet time considering his options before he finally decides if he's going to do what you want or not.

This is Reese...a rescued dog. He's one of five that we have. He has no pool etiquette. Likes to jump in and swim around with the kids and chill...

This is Rocky...another rescued dog. She is a lap dog! I can not sit in my chair without her jumping up onto my lap and going to sleep. A very playful animal. Her buddy is a Siamese cat; they are forever playing.

I wouldn't have any of my animals if they showed any signs that my kids or any of the kids that come over would be harmed/bitten.

Here is Aldus L'Acadien, GSD, at age 6 Mo.-13 days,
65 pounds.

He is doing his best to fill the big old shoes left by my
GSD, Blaz, (below), that I lost in February. He would have been 5 in June.

I'm sure that the shoes will be filled before long. Duce is as good a puppy as I've ever raised.
teesur.

This is my Border Collie/Retriever mix Toby!
He is my only boy!

He is getting up there in age now, 13yrs, and has slowed down AND spread out!

He is deathly afraid of storms and will take cover at the first sound of thunder!

What better place to ride out a storm then the tun right?

Mike, you shoulda taught Maggie the difference between "sniff" and "snort". :p

This be buddy. He is no longer with us. He was a long haired Golden/Cocker mix. I found him severely abused, 5 broken ribs, teeth knocked out, shaved to the skin with horrible skin rash and sunburn one day, he was 4 months old. Nursed him back to health and this gorgeous coat :-D.

He passed away 2 years later from a weak heart but was an amazing pup.
