Hey Mattbiel, does Hogue still make two piece grips. I am not a fan of the monogrips. The rubber ones I had on my 686 were "a little loose". Those are some nice looking grips there sir. I just picked up a pair of Ahrends Retro Combat grips a couple of weeks ago, the fit is absolutely perfect, but I would prefer too have the availability of checkering as it provides a more positive grip for me. If anyone knows where to get those two piece Hogue's or any other quality two piece grips I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you! Yup they still make them. You can't see it in my pic but the frame is visible all the way down the back and at the bottom. I like the small bantam grips because it's a small gun (3"). I bought mine at midwayusa.com

Grips

Does anybody have a good suggestion as to where to purchase quality and reasonably priced after market grips?

Here is a photo of my 686+ 3" in Ahrends coco bola Boot grips with the oiled finish. I bought these grips stock from Top Gun Supply. The compact grips make it easy to carry and conceal when hiking out East. They're no harder to shoot than with longer grips, you tuck your pinky under the bottom.

Which magna grips are bone and which are ivory? And where did you find those grips? If I might ask.

Bought these on the forum. Supposedly are from Eagle. Either way, they fit good and handle well. Just want to make sure they do what I need, as that gun will be my edc once my iwb holster arrives. The grips do look like theyll reduce the print ability of the gun, and the wood wont stick to my shirts the way the stock rubber grips seem to do. Only tried them with 38s and 38+p. 357s will be the next range session once I have some time to sit behind my Dillon.

I had this pair of Grasshorn Elk grips hanging around my parts bin for about 8 years now. They came off my old 19-5 that moved down the road long ago in trade, but I kept the grips figuring I'd put them on something someday. Well, the orphaned grips found a new home Saturday on this brandy new 3" Talo . I had the Stags and T grip on the gun before the paperwork was even done !
