Does anyone have the Sig 938 and how do you like it. I love my M&P 9c, I was thinking of getting a lighter weight carry gun for the Summer months and when wearing lighter weight pants. I also wanted something that I could wear with a sticky type holster and not feel like it was going to fall down. I am not a fan of the Shield, so don't both recommending it. I am used to guns with thumb safeties and prefer them. Not a newbie to guns (been shooting mainly 1911's since the '80's). The Sig 938 caught my eye. I like the one with the Hogue grip. It fits my hand really well and feels like I have been handling it for years. Just was wondering what others thought of it..

Love mine, and carry it frequently during the summer. I pocket carry it in a desantis nemesis holster. Recoil is mangeable, and accuracy is excellent.

I've had a P938 SAS for 14 months. It's one of the best carry guns I've ever owned (and I'm a big J-frame fan). Very concealable and beautifully made. Round count is over 800 (mostly reloads) with zero problems. Recoil is brisk with +P loads, not bad with standard pressure loads.
The gun is remarkably accurate for a small 9 mm and comes with excellent night sights. Although the gun is all metal, the trigger seems to be plastic. Replacement stainless steel triggers are available. I've not bothered to do this yet. Many reviews and discussions of this gun are available on the SIG Forum. I think you'll like it if you're comfortable with 1911 style cocked and locked carry.

Love mine. Here's my Nightmare.
It's been my EDC for about 18 months or so. I have the extended and flush mag. The extended magazine provides a surprisingly comfortable grip. If I pocket carry it I'll go with the flush mag.
I have yet to have a single malfunction this gun, and it is one of the few guns that I own that I have made zero alterations to. I love the crisp trigger pull... it really helps keep you on target with such a small gun.
It's easy to manage, quite tame. It has great sights unlike some pocket sized guns. Nice and small for easy carry. I carry IWB appendix most of the time.
My wife liked it so much she got a P238. She tried the hogue grips and liked them, but the added bulk is a drawback for carry. She'll use the hogue grips for target practice, but uses the slimmer stock grips for carry. She also has a flush and extended magazine.

Thanks everyone. The 938 with the Hogue grips felt really good in my hand. I am seriously leaning towards getting it. The price is steep, but I don't mind paying for quality. My LGS has quoted me $695 + tax for the gun and just under $40 for a second 7 round mag with pinky extention. They are cheaper on gunbroker, but after shipping and ffl transfer, it is about the same. Plus my local gun store is a small store and nice guys. I like supporting them. How many stores let you wear a gun (with a sticky holster you just took off the wall), try it out in your pocket, and even let you shoot their personal 938 into their water tank? I must have played with and worn it for about an hour today.

It's worth every cent. Superb gun and one of the few guns that don't need any mods. I changed to a Hogue backstrap on mine but the trigger is fine even if it's polymer and the pull weight is fine too. With the flush mag it easily slips inside your pocket. I use a Blackhawk No.8 J-Frame nylon holster which is super comfortable and you can use it in your pocket or IWB. I have a Blackwood and I'm getting an Equinox. I convinced myself I need one for carry and an extra one because...........

I have the Rosewood model and agree with all of the positive points mentioned. But, read the many threads about problems people (including me) have experienced and decide if you want to wade into this (take your chances) or not. Mine has been rock solid function wise (over 1000 rnds) but I do have the broken extractor bit commonly reported here. I have not had it replaced and it continues to function well. From reports here, it does not seem that Sig has done anything but replace extractors with the same type that already have issues. Has taken the shine off of my purchase, although again, I continue to carry it.

get one you wont regret it, my wife has carried one for over a year now and loves it. she use to carry a 9c but was having problems racking the slide and was too bulky and heavy to carry. so i took her to lgs she handled a shield, xds & just about every other sub compact they had & hated them all, until chris said a guy just traded this in 30 minutes ago its was a 938 my wife fell in love, they let us shoot it damn accurate little gun.

Probably the best mini 9mm that you can find. Reminds me of a petite version of a 1911. Very accurate for its size, very reliable, love the factory Tritium sites that glow in the dark, and it has a metal frame. Ideal carry gun, can even be pocket carried. Two years ago, I pocket carried it at Universal Orlando for two days and nobody had a clue what was in my front pocket.
A bit more expensive than some of its competitors but well worth the price.

I am loving all these positive reports! Now I just have to sell the spare sewing machine and buy it! But before I buy it, I think I will talk to the owner of the LGS who has one himself and ask him to take it to the range to shoot a mag or two through it. We belong to the same gun club and I don't think he will have an issue with it. Excited here!!

I have carried a Rosewood model for over a year as a pocket BUG. My wife just bought an Extreme model a couple of weeks ago. We love ours.

They are great guns. Yes, the price is up there for such a tiny gun but you have to realize, it is a steel slide and aluminum frame. The cost to manufacture one is going to be higher than a polymer framed gun of similar size. The weight feels good in the hand and does tame the recoil quite a bit. If you don't care about aesthetics try and find an all black model. They tend to be the cheapest, at least in my neck of the woods. I found one for $605 at my local shop.

The one I like the most is the one with the Hogue grips, it is model BRG. It fits my hand perfectly. Though Amazon sells the Hogue grips for $20 so I am not discounting other models. Great price on your 938 btw!
I got one at PSA on sale for $520 a year or two ago. I couldn't believe the cheap price. The clerk said that Sig had done a big special run for their largest distributors, and that's why the price was so low.

It is very much the P238's bigger brother. The P238 is a lot more fun to shoot, but the 9mm goodness for the P938 makes it a better carry gun.

I've had mine since fall 2013. I added Houge wrap around grips to help with control. I use it as my primary carry gun
One of the guys at tonight's match had one so I got to shoot it. I shot 5 mags through it. First mag, the wood grips bothered me. Mags 2-4, felt fine. The last mag. I changed my grip and had a higher grip on it (the one I shot had a laser on it) and it was uncomfortable under the trigger guard. All in all, it was not bad to shoot at all.
