I’ve always wanted a classic Sig P-210. This isn’t it, but it will do for now.

The white tag is what the original owner paid a month ago, the yellow is what I paid today, minus 50 bucks for my good guy discount.

They said he got it, didn’t shoot it, and traded it in for something else last week. He drives a McLaren, so I think he’ll be ok with his loss.

Its in gunjail til Sunday so no range report right now. I’d love to hear from anyone who has/had one. Supposedly it was announced at SHOT 2016 or 2017, but didn’t actually appear until 2020, and may be discontinued already.

It has a 4.1 inch barrel and an alloy frame, instead of 5” and steel.

Nice score. Love that pistol. Congates. But a 'Mclaren?' Now maybe if he drove a Lotus.....

That alloy frame

... was what stopped me from buying one when they were available new (prefer steel frames). Yes, they were discontinued less than a year after the release except a special version that is still available: P210 Carry Custom Works, SKU 210CA-9-CW (I'd post the link from the SIG Sauer website but here says "forbidden"). Comes with a polished and bit engraved slide and wood grips and is $$$.

Enjoy yours!

Well speak of the devil!

Quigley and I walked into our favor-right gun store this morning to make our weekly inspection of this weeks trades.

Low and behold, a guy had just traded-in his P210 Standard. It appears new with G10 grips, four mags, two holsters and the original walnut grips.

Long story short, it's mine now!

Just what I've been surveying-the-scene for. Been a while too.

I have a P210 Target, it’s an incredibly nice pistol to shoot. I’ve only seen one P210 Carry, and the shop wanted 2K for it. If I’d found one for less than a grand I’d have grabbed it no questions asked.

Mine is a P210 target. Bought used with 8 mags, Mitch risen Sig holster and spare set of Hogue grips. Only complaint safety is very stiff hard to re-engage. Hope your 210 carry safety is better.
WardenRoss could we see pics ?

Looks like a great deal! Check the trigger pack to see if it is packed in grease, as was prone on some. If the trigger pack is grease packed, the trigger pull will be indistinct. Not good considering how light the trigger is.

Once I take her to the range, I'll post up a new thread with pics and details.

Nice score!!

The same but different;

I've scored several Italian made Beretta 92 Compacts Type-Ms over the years. They are the single stack 8+1, 4.25" slide, w/ the round trigger guard [of the Wilson Combat guns] version of the full size double stack 92/M9.

General Officers model!

There is a certain elegance and grace to these old design, single stack guns vs the big double stack Wonder-9s and Plastic Fantastic guns , especially the ones with the polished bright blue finish and walnut grips.

Broke down the pistol, cleaned and lubed, ready for a range trip.

Is there a trick to reinstalling the slide stop lever? Mine was just a bit difficult. Assuming this may be normal as the tolerances are pretty tight. Yes, it was lubed.

Thanks...

EDIT:

Found my answer...

To install:

Place the slide in its tracks, and ease it back until the slide is in the normal position and you see the hole in the barrel cam through the hole for the slide stop pin. Insert the slide stop pin and gently push the slide stop up to the stop notch but do not try to force it in. Now ease the slide back that .2 inch again. The slide stop can be pushed back in with no problem.

Brought it home from lockup today. Range tomorrow. I am very impressed with this gun.

The slide works smoother than my Beretta 92, which is saying something. The grips may make me a G10 convert. The sights are big and bright. The trigger is crisp and light.

It is close in size and weight to a Colt LW Commander, and fits holsters made for the Colt.

Congratulations, they are such nice guns, I was surprised that Sig came out with this series, as the quality is head and shoulders above what most gun manufacturers are putting into pistols these days. Very good ergos, super smooth action and trigger. I got a standard model a few years ago, and I love to shoot it.

Took it, and my original 210 out to the range the other day for my birthday…. :).

Happy Birthday!! :) How do the guns compare? Are the new guns the same quality as the old ones?

All good at the range - I put 150 rounds of 115 grain ball downrange with no malfunctions. First pic is taking my time at 20 yards, second is banging away to test for function. I had some Hydra Shoks rolling around in the range bag and they all fed fine. That light trigger caught me unawares a couple of times, but I got used to it.

I’m very happy with this gun. Some of the reviews call it a “tuxedo gun”, and the owner of the place where I bought it said I should have Milt Sparks or some custom shop make me a matching holster and belt. Naaaah - Its gonna be a jeans and IWB carry gun for me.
