SIG P210 / P49

Tom C, That's a beauty. The 210s bite me worse than any other pistol too. I did as Andyd, and shortened and removed the sharp edges from the hammer spur of one of my 210s back in the late '80s. I don't know if the add on beavertails were available back then, but would have used one if I'd been aware that they were available.

Very interesting :) I never realized that the Sig 210 uses a modular hammer, spring, sear, and disconnect unit similar to the famous Tokarev T30 pistol :)

Also, recall Chas. Petter's patents for the French M-1935A, which was the primary forerunner of the SIG P-210.

I thought about grinding the hammer, but the thing is so darn valuable, I didn't want to miss it up.

Some more shooting with the P210-2 this morning

I also tried the 210-6 of a friend, shoots a bit low for me but very accurate with an amazing trigger
