I've posted pictures before when I first got this. I like this very much. As you can see by the comparison photo with a Gemini Custom Model S&W M&P 340 they are basically the same size and very easy to conceal using a front pocket holster. For the price (which was less then the Model 340) it gives me at least two great carry options, and is a very accurate weapon. I was very lucky to get the first one my dealer was able to get, without paying a premium price for it. I think you will be very happy if you do purchase one.

I'm quite satisfied with mine. 200 rounds so far and no hiccups. Just got a kydex holster and this should be a great combo for hot weather carry. I have no intention of selling my Shield 2.0.

I was very intrigued with it when it came out. I read about lots of problems and am still seeing quite a few, but I figured they would eventually get them straightened out, but who knows, maybe they'll always be hit and miss. Not unheard of with small guns. When I finally handled one, the grip is very small in diameter and just didn't fit my hand well. It just didn't feel stable or well supported. Plus, the trigger is extremely short and light with no options to alter it like Glock offers. I see absolutely no reason for such a trigger on any concealed carry weapon, let alone one that you might carry in a pocket. It's a no-go for me.

I picked up my 365 about 3 1/2 weeks ago. So far I have put about 2000 rounds of various makes and grains through it. Remington UMC Green/White box 115 gr, Remington Brown box Military/Police practice 115 gr, Freedom Munitions 115 gr and Hornady American Gunner 115 gr8 & +P 124 gr. ZERO hic-ups. One fail to lock back the slide on last shot, caused by me. Adjusted my grip... No more fail to lock back on last round. Waiting for a holster and will be parking my Performance Center Shield 45 in the safe. P365 will be my EDC. LOVE my first Sig. Also waiting on two 12 round magazines.Does anyone have this relatively new gun -and if so, what do you think of it?
Also, can you compare it to the M&P Shield2.0?

While I have not shot one, I did handle one recently and was very surprised with how compact the gun was for a being a ten round pistol. I was expecting the P365 to be similar to Glock 26, but the P365 felt more like subcompact pocket pistol.

Carried mine for the first time the other day. This is a great hot weather carry option. I too have some 12 round magazines on order.

I am also very interested in this gun. I am also concerned about the trigger. How would you feel about it if it had a manual safety.
I just picked up my P365 this weekend. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but it's a really nice gun. For many years now, my summer carry gun has been a Kahr PM9, which I really like. The PM9 has always been the best size-for-caliber option available. Many have tried to challenge this standing (Glock 43, S&W Shield, Springfield, etc.) but have not been able to get a 9mm gun sized as small as the Kahr PM9. My PM9 has always been reliable, smooth shooting and has a great trigger and good sights.
Well, this new Sig is a true contender. Side by side they are just about the same size/width, with the 365 having just a (very) slightly longer slide... BTW, I have a 9mm Shield and it is definitely larger than the P365/PM9...
The sights on the P365 are awesome. They are night sights, with the front sight also being larger with a green fiber optic surrounding the tritium vile. To me, this presents very well for daytime, as well as nighttime shooting.
The trigger on the P365 is very nice, with a smooth, fairly light break (much nicer than any of my Glocks). It does have a bit of pre-travel, so the shot will not be a surprise. I honestly don't understand the need for a manual safety on a carry gun. This is not a "hair trigger," it's just a nice striker-fire trigger. Keep your finger away from the trigger until you are prepared to shoot and you'll be just fine... I would never put a striker fired gun in my pocket without a holster! The trigger on the Kahr is a longer pull compared to the Sig. I like both, it's just adjusting to the nuances of each trigger.
The main driver in me buying the P365 was that it has a 10 round mag, compared to the Kahr's 6 round mag. Now, I've not lately had the need for 10 rounds to save my life, nor 6 rounds either. And, I don't necessarily expect that to change going forward. But, it's always nice to know the extra rounds are there... To me, the Sig offers the same awesome size gun as the Kahr, with more rounds, a great trigger and sights; what's not to love...
I'll put it through its paces for reliability, and if it's good, I'll make the change to carry it. I know they had an initial misstep with the early release guns, but Sig pulled back distribution and fixed the problem. Hopefully, they've got the bugs worked out with these guns... I'll try to chime back in after a trip to the range.

LOL no. I will keep waiting for my Brownell's pre order at $450.
Just got one and a 12 round mag Monday. Have 175 rounds thru it without a hitch. Fits in my LC9s holster and points better than any gun I've ever owned. I love it and will carry it often. My LGS had only one they got the night before but had a case of 12 round mags.

I see the faint outline, on the frame, that will likely be cut out for a future thumb safety version.
Owned mine since mid March and never had so much fun. Lightweight, small, huge capacity, night sights, and easy to shoot. After 750 trouble free rounds, this is my EDC. My Shield along with a number of unused small revolvers have been sold. I am doing a first for me, that is buying a second gun of the same model and thinning the herd of metal that takes up space in my safe.

Yeah me too....been waiting for sometime now, but did already purchase a couple of high capacity magazines in preparation of finally getting one

I like Sig firearms a lot, and I've no doubt the P365 will be a best seller for Sig. I'm especially disappointed when I see quality control issues like this one because I expect a lot from a "Sig" product. I've no doubt it was indeed a "bad batch" and something like this can happen to anything that's mass produced. Disappointing yes, but I'm sure Sig will solve the issue.

It still wouldn't make any difference to me since a manual safety doesn't help prevent many of the types of unintentional discharges I'm concerned with plus I see a manual safety being a liability and potential failure point in getting the gun into action quickly. I and numerous defensive shooting instructors have witnessed even well trained individuals failing to get manual safeties disengaged during Force-on-Force scenarios. It just poses too great of a potential problem for reactive close-quarter civilian defense situations IMO. The majority of the time I carry an enclosed hammer snub revolver and would prefer an auto to be as reliable, simple to operate and safe as the revolver or as close as I can get with one.

They may be similar in size, but they are very different in weight with the Sig being virtually double the weight of the Smith. Big difference in trigger pull weight(and length) as well. I have no real concerns about carrying a DAO J-frame in a pocket, but I'll pass on carrying a striker-fired gun with such a short light trigger in one. The S&W will come out of the pocket quicker and be much safer when doing so.

Exactly. Until I stop hearing about low-round-count issues on nearly new ones, I'll stick with my LC9.
7+1 that is dead-nuts reliable beats 10+1 so-so reliable for me - at least for now.
I'm not, and as you can tell by my Forum name and avatar, I'm a SIG fan. Before you buy, head over to the SIG Talk Forum and read through the many posts about the P365. There are persistent reports of problems with broken strikers and detached trigger springs. There are a few reports of barrel peening and failing extractors as well. SIG will remedy all of these problems, just as S&W did with the Shield's early production glitches, but for now, I'd pass on an immediate purchase.

I just fired mine for the first time today. I fired around fifty rounds with the gun performing well and surprisingly accurate at 15 feet. Most of the shots falling within a 3 inch circle. The few flyers were my fault during rapid fire exercise, but still effective. The new twelve round magazine came apart at the bottom but on closer examination it was not assembled correctly and seems fine after I reattached it. The reset is quick and I double tapped a couple of times when rapid firing. I need to use a little more control. Compared to the Beretta Nano it is a much smoother pistol. If it holds up long term it is a winner.

Both my wife and I recently purchased the Sig P-365. So far I have shot 150 rounds of various ammunition with no issues. My wife has almost 500 rounds through hers, again with no issues. Both are surprisingly very accurate and the recoil seems much less that our previous Shields. Mine fits my LC-9 holster so that solved the new holster issue. After another 200 rounds or so it will replace my LC-9 as my summer EDC. My winter gun will still be my M&P 45c, but I could carry the 365 is a BUG in my pocket. It's basically the same size as my 642 J-frame, but with double the round count. Trigger pull on my 365 is 5.5-6 pounds; trigger pull on my 642 is 10 pounds. The Sig is 100 times faster to reload.
Yes, I have read all of the "problems" listed in some of the forums, so I will pay attention to the issues mentioned, but so far both of ours have been flawless. When I bought my Shield years ago it had both FTF and FTE problems and had to go back to S&W the first week I owned it, so no gun is immune to problems.
