Sight pusher on ebay

I have one and have successfully used it on Glocks and M&P's with no issues. I have not specifically used it on a Shield, so I can't say for sure it will work, though I imagine it will.

There's a guy who makes a great sight pusher on the 1911 forum called the MK III & MK IV that will work on just about any gun for both front/back sights. Cost around $70. You should have no problem finding the posts doing a search. This guy has sold hundreds of his design.

I have a very similar version sold by "The Glock Store". It worked excellent (on a Glock) AFTER I replaced the outside locking nut that was tearing up the threads on the large bolt.

I also have a sight pusher like the guy above me from sightpusher.com and am very pleased with its versatility. It has worked on every gun I have thrown at it.

I, too have one of these sightpushers. The M&P Shield's can be particularly difficult to move the original sights on- actually broke a sightpusher (early version) on it... the tip broke off. He sent me a hardened version, and it's been fine. The guy gives great service. The Shields can be a BEAST to remove the sights from- I ended up having to cut the rear sight in half with a small cut-off disc in a Dremel... it just simply would NOT budge, even after blaster soakings, etc. Heard they install them with hydraulic presses at S&W- I'd believe it.
