I have the original Novak sights that came on my 3913. I am considering upgrading to night sights. S&W wants $176 for the Novaks which seems very high. Any thoughts as to other sights? I was looking at the Trijicons. What other sights should I consider and where can I purchase them? Thanks

The Trijicon's look more compact. The Meprolights almost look like they will hang over the back of the slide. Is that possible? Anyone have these on their 3913?

The Trijicon night sights are the way to go...Mike

Are both of these sight systems easy to mount for an average skilled guy, or is a gunsmith required?

When the meps die, you throw them away.

When the Trijicons die, you send them back to Trijicon for new lamps for a lot less than new sights. If they die before 12 years, you get a discount on re-lamps based on proration.

Thanks for the replies. The choice has become much easier, trijicons it will be.
