I NEED 40cal MAGS 14RD IS FINE IM IN LONGWOOD,FLORIDA LETS DO BUISSNESS I WILL PAY $15 PER MAGAZINE! SW40VE SIGMA MAGS NOT BUYING TO RESALE I WANT FOR RANGE AND SELF DEFENSE PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT

Reading this post helped me make the choice to buy some 40f mags for my 40ve, so I just wanted to add to this post in the event I can help someone doing a search.
the 40F mags I purchased fit perfectly in my 40ve without any modifications at all. If anyone is interested I will add a pic.

yes it's an old post. need to add my 2p. the 15 round mags I bought, fit my 40VE just fine without any mods to the base plate. no extra force needed to put the mag home. I won't chamber a round if I don't need to. being ready involves some serious decision making. I don't put myself in harms way with it in the holster!

I always carry with one in the chamber. There's no guarantee that you will have both hands free to rack the slide, in that case all you have is a small club...

very, VERY true, sir. I am blessed with both hands. learned how to rack a 1911 from a one handed Marine.

A one handed rack is possible with the Sigma as well, but even slower than a two-handed one. There is no reason to not carry one in the pipe on these unless you're concerned that kids might pick it up, in that case you haven't properly secured it. OF course, I'll assume that everyone is intelligent enough to have a holster that completely covers the trigger...

I do need to forget about carrying a 1911. Gramps wouldn't allow one in the pipe with an open holster. it's an old habit.

Just started a new thread, but I wanted to ask it in here too...

Quick question to all you out there. When did SW40F's start to be manufactured? More importantly when did the 15 round magazines start to be manufactured? I am asking bacause Mass. has a 'high capacity' mag ban in effect. We are not allowed to own anything made pre-September 13, 1994 that can hold more then 10rds... Just trying to figure out if 40F mags where even made before that date...

thanks for any help.
