Just came across a box of 9mm JHP 115gr. +P+ ammo and am wondering if it is safe to shoot in my Sigma? Or should I just stay with the Hydra-shoks that I normally load it with for CC.
Thanks in advance.

You should consult your manual for the answer from the horse's mouth.

I keep Winchester's spicy RA9TA +P+ 127-gr load in my Sigma, and I've happily fired all manner of +P+ through it.

I personally feel the "+P" hoop-la is just a marketing ploy to sell more ammo, and that the few makers of "+P+" ammo come closer to the intent of the excercise, which is to juice up the already speedy 9 mm parabellum.

I doubt the +P+ would hurt your gun, but only speed up the normal wear and tear.

That being said, I see no use of anything "marked" suchly.

Standard pressure 9 mm (at 35,000 - 42,000 PSI, NATO STANAG) works just fine for serious social encounters.

I carry Ranger Ts, 115gr +P+, I bought a bunch early on in my pistol career, I think they were on sale. After shooting them, see no reason not to carry them. 1324fps average, they WILL shoot through both sides of a car. I've been trying to find some 127gr, can't find 'em though.

OK, I must be missing something. Why would you want to carry a SD round that will over penetrate to the point of shooting through both sides of a car?
