I'm acquiring a used Sigma 9mm in a couple of days, and thought I'd check here on some fluff and buff advice. Also wondering about your suggestions for improving the trigger pull. Don't have any first hand experience with the Sigma trigger, but read some online about it needing a bit of improvement. Thanks.

Which model are you picking up. C,F,V,VE?

Before you do anything to it shoot it a while. Run a couple hundred rounds through it. You may find the trigger is not as bad as you've heard. I've had mine over 2 years and the trigger has softened up some but, I've just learned how to manage the trigger.

Where do you shoot in Durham?

This will seem lame: I don't know which version it is. Haven't yet educated myself on the differences. It's the stainless slide two-tone 9mm. Worked out a trade on a gun I re-built.

I like shooting at Personal Defense & Handgun Safety in Raleigh.

I also shoot at PDHSC, most of the time.

Years ago I used to shoot in the Shearon Harris reservoir before they filled it. I didn't shoot for a lot of years until two years ago a customer of mine got me started again.

I miss shooting outside.

All the Best,
D. White

The model number is right there on the side of the slide. SW9F, SW9V, SW9C, Sw9VE, etc..

Sounds like an SW9VE to me...

Take it, shoot it for at least 100rds...personally, I am sending mine to LSG this week to clean up the trigger on it...

When I actually see the gun on Tuesday, I'll know for certain. Didn't care too much as to which specific model it was. I was hoping to trade for the Allied Forces model, but that's not what the fellow had.

I've never shot outside, other than when I was a kid in the midwest; shooting clays, hunting pheasant, and plinking. That was 35 years ago, and I didn't get back into shooting until about a year ago. Shooting outside would be fun I'm sure. There are the outdoor ranges around here, but I can't afford the membership fees.

Got it today. SW9VE. Shot a 100 rounds through today, and it sure is any easy gun to shoot. I'm pulling the trigger and a little right of center. I expect I'll get used to it.

So, what are folks leaning towards for night sights? Any value to the steel recoil guide rod and Spring from Wolff?

Thanks All.

I'm glad this worked out for you. They are really great weapons for the money. A little more trigger time and you'll be surprised what it can do.

All the Best,
D. White
