Hi, my name is Bill, live in ohio and got a 9mm sigma for Christmas. So far its a pretty awesome gun. But its my first pistol so nothing to compare it to. Anyway, I shot exactly 47 rounds thru it Monday and while cleaning it I noticed at the muzzle end of the barrel, it looks like the barrel is flaking. If I had to guess, their maybe a thousandths or two deep. But I don't have a way to measure. At first I thought it just discolored but when I shine my bore light down the barrel from the chamber end I can see the shadow of it. Is this anything to be worried about? Dumb question I'm sure, but just wondering if maybe its a machining error or if they really fell out. I did email s&w but thier out till Tuesday. What do you guys think?

Well, after half an hour hold, their going to send a prepaid shipping label and take care of it. Going to have them fix the gritty trigger too.
