To much lube
It is easy to get too much on the interior workings. I put in too much one time (over excited I guess), and noticed that it was 'escaping' out the side and leaving a damp spot on the side of the pistol. I took it apart and used compressed air to clean off the excess. Whether the cold affects teflon sprays or not, I really do not know. It is worth investigating, though.
