Those had a short useful life.

It's $100 for a reason.

I've heard of original owners sending them in for repair and getting a different weapon back.

I'd pass.

YMMV

Good Luck

For $100, how could you go wrong. I had nothing but good luck with one that a friend and I tested. We shot an entire case of Feceral 9BPLE, which is a 115 grain JHP +P+ LE Only load out of it with no apparent ill effects and no malfunctions.

The smaller SW380 was said to have a slide made out of something other than traditional carbon gun steel. The SW9M, on the other hand, has a more traditional steel slide.

For $100, I would say, buy it, shoot it a little and then after you figure out where it is shooting, use it for your vehicle, or in some other way where you need to stash a weapon for immediate use.

Don't forget to buy an extra magazine for it. They still make the mags.

From S&W's web site:

SW9M Sigma Series® Magazine, 7RD
SKU #: prod_255690000
$28.36

I have both the 9M and the 380. Both have served me well for years.

I shoot them once or twice a year and clean them up and lube them. The 9 is stashed in my tool box in the garage and the 380 is my backup car gun.

They make great low cost reliable backups.

tool box gun - I like that idea. that S&W would certainly fit the bill. Offer them $90 out the door. Not many are going to be interested and they might take it.
