What kind of information are you looking for? I don't know if it possible to convert this model. Midway does sell barrels for this model, but they are special order parts.

Thats what I was looking for. #1 if there is such a thing and #2 where to get. Thanx I'll check with thier website..

Just looked. No mention of 357 sig bbl. for use in 40ve. Just 40 cal bbl. Am I moissing something?????

Unfortunately the Sigma has very limited niche with third party barrel makers, so good luck.
Technically there's no reason you couldn't just drop a 357 Sig barrel in a 40 frame…
In fact if you were to get your hands on 9mm barrel before if got chamber reamed, it would be a simple process to convert to 357Sig…
I don't know if there's any difference in the external makeup between the 9mm & 40S&W barrel.
If there identical, than the above is possible…
I just checked my source, and 357Sig reamers are available, you just need the barrel blank.
So break out your ninja suit, and hit S&W in the middle of the night and get use a couple of blanks, and we might be in business!

Thanx Mr. Ronterry Sir... I've e-mailed S&W. I have a friend who has contacts there. Maybe I can get a bbl.from the custom shop.

S&W did make an SW357V Sigma for a few months, so factory .357 barrels exist for the Sigmas. I'm not sure if there are any real technical differences between the V and VE series Sigma pistols other than the accessory rail on the E/VE/P series pistols, but you may be able to drop one of the SW357V barrels in your SW40VE.

Well here we are 2 weeks and NO word from S&W. I am honestly suprised of the lack of response. My fried asked and got a shoulder shrug. I am going to be in Spfld in a couple weeks for an appt. with my knee surgeon ,so may just drop by Roosevelt Ave and talk right to the horses mouth. Just hope that end is there that day. Chuckle.....

I'll bet Bar-Sto or Lone Wolf would be wiling to make a special run of them if there was enough interest. I'd consider one if the price was right.

Who here would want one?

All the Best,
D. White
