Simple Weapon Solutions Billet Ambidextrous Charging Handle

Sorry for the late response.

I am still working on coming up with something with Rainier, but that is still a bit a ways off. I just emailed the shop that is doing the shields for the brass deflectors and the ambi latch pictured in this thread. When I talked with the shop before xmas he had the shields cut out and the latches done. So I am just waiting for the shields to be bent.

I also have a few other latch designs that will be machined for testing very soon along with a second ambi latch design.

That is a good point. I don't use any kind of optic. I have a Primary Arms micro dot, but I prefer to stick with my iron sights. I'm used to using my thumb and forefinger without issue.

But with all of the different types of red dots and scopes out there, I could see how it would interfere with a standard size latch. Perhaps having multiple latch size options would be a good idea.

Anything new or going on with these ? The rear of my scope sits right above and slightly behind my buis. It's a bit of a tight grab. It's also the same problem with the larger Sporting Rifles. I hate the thought of using higher risers.

So ready to put one of these on my sbr. :)

This is exactly what I was looking for.

I think it's awesome and when you put it into production along with the brass deflector you need to do a package price for all the parts for the 15-22 you make. I'd be in for one of everything that way.

ik its a difficult task but if you could design and produce a charging handle with a design similar to the rainier arms ambi charg handle, for less then 60, m aybe 70, I would be interested

How's the brass deflector coming along? I've been interested in one for awhile.

Already exists in the Plinker Tactical handle. The ambi latch is excellent but the handle is crude and poorly executed. I took the latch off mine and put it on an NDZ handle. Outstanding combination.

The PT ambi latch doesn't operate like the Rainier Arms Raptor proprietary latches. The PT latch requires left-handed users to push with the thumb and pull with the index finger. The Raptor operates the same from both sides. I would definitely replace my PT with one if it was available for the 15-22.

Raptor looks nice, but sometimes too many moving parts can be a problem in the long run. Was thinking about one for my larger AR,but like I said. Moving parts wear. I prefer simple.

I stand corrected AND educated! :)
