Size? M&P 22C v Shield

The 22 compact is slightly larger (6.65"l X 5.03"h X 1.48" thick) than the Shield (6.1"l X 4.6"h X .95" thick) ; however, the Shield is a little heavier (19oz vs 15.3oz). I have both and the difference isn't really that noticeable. The compact makes a good cheap ammo trainer for the Shield.

I think I saw a video on you tube where a guy compares them side by side. Just do a search for S&W 22 compact. I think that's where I saw it. If the threaded barrel was legal in New York I would have had a 22 compact months ago.

free 22 ammo

I finally got my free box of 22 ammo from S&W and it dawned on me that somehow I have overlooked shooting my new M&P 22C...mostly because I had an eye operation and my eyes are finally getting back to normal...looking forward to blazing up that box....:)

I should add that my compact may be a few ounces heavy with the centering bushing and thread adapter installed.

When that stamp comes back get ready - you are going to LOVE that can!

The one in the pic is a SilencerCo Sparrow, in case anyone wanted to know...

I already do and havent even got to shoot with it yet. I got such a steal on it I didn't even stop to think I didn't have a single host for it. In came the m&p because I picked it up cheaper than I could get my 22s that I already had threaded. PLus the can is rated for 5.7 so I can throw I should be able to throw it on my TCM.

When I got mine, I was able to visit it while it was in "NFA Jail" at the dealer, because he had an attached range. It wasn't the same though...it didn't feel right until I was able to take possession and actually carry it out of the store!

I use mine on my 22c, P22 and 15-22...when my Warlock gets released I will put it on my 15-22 and rotate the Sparrow between the pistols...

These cans have a way of multiplying...

Do you have any idea of a holster for the 22 compact that will work with a can attached?

Well, yes and no. The holster I have for the 22c is the Desantis Mini Scabbard; it's open at the bottom so i'm guessing (though I've never tried it) you can holster the gun with can attached:

The can may be too fat to fit through it though...I'll try it tonight.
