I would like to know what everyone is using to color in the engravings on the sides of the slide?

Where do you get Tacticrayola? You rub it in hard and does your cleaner eventually rub it off?

Fingernail polish! It's a little more work then crayons but is more durable also. "Tacticrayola" is just Crayola crayons that you are using to make your gun "tacticool"

Sinful Colors nail polish in Neon Melon green and Bad Chick white:p

Thanks guys. I was going to ask about fingernail polish but you beat me to it. Probably give that a try. Boy that gold looks good mkygod.

Some people use Testor's Enamel model paint. It may be even more durable then nail polish but your color selection is not as vast as with nail polish...if that matter to you.

***Edit *** Sorry...wasn't trying to resurrect an old thread...I thought it was a recent one. The "similar threads" at the bottom of the page trips me up sometimes.

I used Testor's Flat Earth on my M&P (see the earlier thread in this forum for pics). It was super simple to do, and only took about 5 minutes start to finish per side of my slide.

For those just finding this thread...
China Marker (similar to crayon) is what we used @ Pendleton to color in the Serial Numbers. See this web page: White Lettering On Guns

I used Crayola on mine 5 yrs ago and it's still holding up.
I've used the Painters brand Paint Pens in WalMart's craft section on my AR.

For those not sure what color they want to go with, experimenting with Crayon is the easiest to 'wash off' (undo).
