I've been waiting a few months to get a SW1911 E series, couldn't find one locally. Bought one from a gun show yesterday. They had one, I pulled the trigger. :D
Now I am in the search for a holster for it, I am a lefty. Anyone have any recommendations for a left handed holster?

I got mine straight off of s&w web sight. Only so I could get the s&w logo on it. It is a desantis lined lock and loaded. Made for the 4 1/4 in barrel

I agree with Ihump1961 on the Lobo Leather. They will make about anything you want. Also being left handed, I like snap on holsters.

I found a Bianchi 19 (left hand) at Midway. I like it!

For OWB, I use a Tucker HF1 he made for me a few years ago for my Kimber Pro Carry. It fits perfectly and does not protrude below the holster (since the Kimber is 4" and the S&W E Series is 4.25"). Also for IWB I use a Galco Summer Comfort made specifically for the S&W 1911 4.25". It fits perfectly and is available in left hand (order from LAPG).

Mernickle Holsters would also make you a left hand PS6 holster. I have one for my Beretta 90-Two and it is an outstanding holster. Very reasonable price also for a custom holster.

Thanks guys!
I did see the ones on the S&W website. The only color they have for a left handed holster is tan. I rather have a black one. I forgot to mention I have the 5 inch barrel 1911 E series, so I would need one made for the 5 inch instead of the 4.25.

The Lobo will work with a 5" also, but the muzzle will be exposed. Front site will not drag when drawing from the holster.

This question can only be answered if you state the purpose to which you intend to put the 1911 E Series when using the holster.

Thus, concealed carry would call for a different holster than open carry, range use or as a field handgun to accompany you on a hunting trip when carrying a long gun as your primary weapon.

Once you decide the use, then you shop for the holster. Any reputable holster maker will make a left handed version of the models made for right hand use.

The 1911 E Series will fit any holster made for the Colt 1911 with the same barrel length.
