My 1.5 cents worth.... I would be willing to bet this rifle is all USA made, but haven't checked it out. The m&p 10 definitly contains proprietary parts, but they seem to function fine for me. I'm not one to be rough on firearms anyway (8+ years as an 0311/usmc and I never damaged a weapon once). The AR platform is tough enough for the Marine Corps, its good enough for me. From my experience people that abuse weapons are the ones most likely to complain about lack of replacement parts. The "kick" is minimal for a .308, the accuracy for me has been excellent. MY Nikon m308 is an excellent optic (about $500.00 including mount) has worked flawlessly. I have 45-degree offset sights that work great also.My m&p 10 is one of the best rifles I have ever purchased/used (my m&p 15 is a total winner also, and it is a piston PSX model) and I love mine. If you get one, i'll bet you will love it too. Again, just my 1.5 cents worth. Semper Fidelis.

Stop copying me!!!! :p :D :D

I don't know where all the parts are made but mine shoots like this out of the box with only a trigger job and scope added. So, I'd say USA!

S&W Quality

Not sure where the parts come from. I've been building AR's for the last 5 years - more than 3 dozen so far. I've worked on Colts, Armalites, Rock River Arms, Spikes, on and on . . . . The fit and finish on the Smiths are excellent.

Sounds like "the friend of a friend whose brother in law heard that . . ." doesn't know from experience.

I also own an M&P 22, M&P 9MM Pro, and an M&P 45. No problems with any of mine so far.

If you are looking to modify a AR-10 this may not be the gun for you. If you damage or break a part in cleaning or modifying S&W will make you send it in and will only install the parts the gun came with. They will not sell you parts to put back on like every other AR manufacturer out there. Google "M&P10 customer service" and read a few threads before you decide to buy this rifle. S&W has a customer service problem with this one that is gaining traction in various different forums.
